Helen's Biography


Helen has recently appeared at The Royal Albert Hall in "La Boheme" with an international cast and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to this she filmed an episode of Sinister Ministers for Firecracker Films and a commercial for Aids Alliance currently airing on T.V .

Last year she toured The Netherlands in "Keeping Up Appearances" playing Rose and also performed at the famous Wilton's Music Hall and at the Charing Cross Theatre in London.

Helen has directed and appeared in many "Late Joys" for the famous Players Theatre, London, as well as Hackney Empire and The City Varieties, Leeds. In 1987 Helen began her long association with the award-winning Watermill Theatre, Newbury, where her company was born. Her productions have been seen in theatre's around the country, including, RSC's Swan Theatre Stratford upon Avon for 5 seasons, 10 years at The Anvil/Haymarket, Basingstoke. 3 seasons at Derby. Also playing at the Concert Hall Reading, Torch Theatre Milford Haven, Theatre Royal Margate, The Great Hall Winchester, Palace Theatre Westcliff and the Jubilee Hall Aldeburgh.

Theatre work includes: Rose in “Keeping Up Appearances” Netherlands Tour. The Fairy Godmother in “Cinderella” The Lyceum, Crewe. Mrs Thatcher "Seasonal Sauce" Watermill Theatre, Newbury. Fairy Godmother "Cinderella" Eden Court, Inverness. Mrs Arthur "A Murder has been Arranged" Queens Theatre, Hornchurch, Mrs Winterton in Sandie Wilson's "The Buccaneer" revived at the Finborough Theatre, London. Emily Whitman in "Follies" Landor Theatre, London & Pearl in “Ladies Down Under” Queens Theatre, Hornchurch.

Helen has toured in plays and musicals in this country and as far away as Canada, Scandinavia, Jordan and the USA and has appeared in numerous pantos and Commercials!

TV work Includes: Charlie Brooker Series, Where the Heart Is, The Knock, London's Burning, Crossroads, Beneath the Skin, Dr Who, The Bill, Crown Court and Down to Earth. She was the main actress/presenter for two years on Channel 4's Anything We Can Do. Helen also played Camilla Parker-Bowles in Fall of the House of Windsor (American Fox TV).

Films and corporate shoot credits include: Ericsson 2 Lady in Bugs Services (Fiji Productions), A Matter of Death and Life, Being Julia, Yanks and Venography.

Helen is a voice-over artiste and a guest coach for the post-graduate student presentations at The Guildford School of Acting.
